The Kadaknath or Kali Masi is an Indian breed of chicken local to Jhabua and Dhar districts of western Madhya Pradesh, where it is known as “Kali masi”. Due to its high protein and very low fat and cholesterol levels, it is in high demand. This famous kadaknath chicken from Jhabua District of Madhya Pradesh, India has now got a geographical indication (GI Tag) tag. The Kadaknath is popular for its adaptability and good-tasting greyish black meat, which is believed to infuse vigor. Its color stems from melanin. The breed is originated from the Indian state Madhya Pradesh.
Ingredients:-
1. Kadaknath (Black) Chicken [कड़कनाथ चिकन] – 1 Kg
2. Potato (आलू) – 2
3. Onion (प्याज) – 4
4. Ghee / Clarified Butter (घी) – 80 gm
5. Salt (नमक) – 2 tbsp
6. Garam Masala (गरम मसाला पाउडर) – 1 tbsp
7. Turmeric (हल्दी) – 1/2 tbsp
8. Coriander Powder (धनिया पाउडर) – 2 tbsp
9. Red Chilli Powder (लाल मिर्च का पाउडर ) – 2 tbsp
10. Ginger Garlic Paste (लाल मिर्च का पाउडर ) – 2 tbsp
11. Kasuri Methi (कसूरी मेथी) – 1 tbsp
12. Lime juice with 1 tbsp sugar – 2 tbsp
13. Tomato Pury (टमाटर की प्यूरी) – 4
14. Raw Papaya (कच्चा पपीता) – 2 pieces
