Butter Chicken (Recipe in English)
For Chicken Marinade:
In a bowl, mix the following ingredients:
2 Chicken breasts, cubed
1 cup yogurt
Juice of one lemon
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp each of garam masala, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt
1/4 cup Kashmir Cooking Oil
Set aside in fridge for 2 hours
Ingredients for Gravy:
1/2 cup Kashmir Cooking Oil
1 medium size onion, chopped
500 gm tomato puree
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp salted butter
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1 tbsp each of garam masala, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp kasuri methi

Method:
On medium heat, add Kashmir cooking oil, and cook chicken for 8-10 minutes. Remove chicken with a spoon and set aside. To the same pot, add the butter and fry the onion for 3-4 minutes until light brown. Now add ginger garlic paste and cook for 3-4 minutes. Mix in crushed tomatoes, masalas, and bring back the chicken. Cover and cook for 10 minutes mixing it every few minutes. Remove lid and add cream and kasuri methi. Turn heat on low, cover, and let it cook for 15 minutes. When oil separates, your butter chicken is done.
Feel free to adjust salt at this point. Garnish with coriander. Serve!
