This summer, learn how to make this quick and easy Mango Banana Smoothie Recipe. With mango season arriving in summer, this is the perfect way to enjoy the king of fruits. Mixing the sweetness of Mangoes with the creaminess of Bananas, this Mango Banana Smoothie is a perfect blend of both. The basic recipe is just Mango, Banana, Yoghurt, Milk, Almonds, and Sugar and rest is just flavourings and garnishes. You can adjust the milk and yoghurt quantities to achieve your desired consistency, keep in mind though that smoothies are usually thick. You can also add ice if you wish to make it even cooler, or simply make this Mango Banana Smoothie in advance and refrigerate it.

The recipe is loved by people of all ages, but especially kids. It’s a wonderful way to add fruits to your children’s diets. It’s also great in extremely hot temperatures during the summer months. The cooling effect of yoghurt make this an essential Indian Summer Drink.

This recipe is a wonderful drink for vegetarians as well. If you do not eat dairy, you can substitute the yoghurt and milk for Almond Milk or Soy Milk. However, you may have to adjust the sweetness level and maybe add a little bit of lemon juice to achieve the slightly acidic flavour of yoghurt.

Mango Banana Smoothie Ingredients:

1 Mango – diced, cold
1 Banana (Ripe) – chop roughly
Yoghurt (Dahi) – 1/4 cup, cold
Cold Milk – 1/4 cup
Almond – 3-5 pieces + for garnish, finely chopped
Elaichi (Cardamom) Powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt – 1/8 tsp, or a pinch
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Pistachio – 1-2 pieces, for garnish
Cherry – 1 piece, for garnish
