Peri-Peri Chicken Cheese Box Patties
Ingredients for Puree:
Fresh Red chilies (chopped) 1/2 cup
Red chilies (dry) 5-6
Onion (cubes) 1 cup
Garlic cloves 6-7
Water 1/2 cup
Ingredients for Peri Peri Chicken Preparation:
Oil 3 tbsp
Chicken (boiled & shredded) 2 cups
Prepared puree 1 cup
Garlic powder 1 tbsp
Paprika powder 1 tbsp
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Ingredients for Peri Peri Cheese Box Patties:
Samosa Patti as required
Peri-Peri chicken as required
Capsicum (julienne) as required
Mozzarella cheese (grated) as required
Flour mixture (flour 1 cup + water 1/2 cup) as required
Bread crumbs as required
Beaten egg as required
Directions for Puree Preparation:
1. In a glass jar add red chilies, dried red chilies, garlic cloves, water, onion and blend well into puree. Set aside.
Directions for Peri Peri Chicken Preparation:
1. In a pan heat oil and add puree, cook for 2-3 minutes. Add paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, cumin powder, salt and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
2. Add chicken and cook for 1-2 minutes. Your Peri peri Chicken is ready. Set aside.
Directions for Assembling:
3. Take a samosa patti and brush flour mixture on it in the center. Place another samosa patti on it perpendicularly.
4. Add chicken and mozzarella cheese in the center. Wrap the samosa patti in box patty shape.
5. Coat the box patties in beaten eggs and bread crumbs. Put them in an airtight bag. These can be frozen for up to 3 weeks
6. Deep fry these box patties until crispy and golden brown.
7. Your Peri-Peri Chicken Cheese Box Patties are ready.
