Diwali the festival of lights is celebrated on the no moon day that falls in the month Karthika. On this day, Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, prosperity and Love is worshipped with great devotion and celebrations. It a day that brings light, joy and happiness to our lives. Celebrations include decorating the homes, wearing new clothes, bursting crackers and cooking delicious and toothsome foods.

There are many varieties of payasam and pineapple payasam is one of them. The fruity pineapple flavour and the earthy flavour, aroma of coconut milk, make this dessert pretty especial. You can either use sugar or for stronger taste can use jaggery.
Always try to use fresh ripped pineapple ? for the amazing fruity taste.

P.S: Recipe cannot be made with milk. the enzyme bromelain in pineapple will curdle the milk that’s why we use coconut milk.
