Popcorn chicken with homemade barbecue sauce | Fast food recipes
Popcorn chicken is iconic, but really all they are, are tiny chicken nuggets right? I also took the liberty of showing you how I make a barbecue sauce, which is a far cry from the shop bought stuff (which is fine by the way). My barbecue sauce has a slight Asian vibe to it, which is the fennel seeds and garlic.
To make my popcorn chicken you will need:
►300g chicken breast
►1/2 red onion
►1 tsp crushed fennel seeds
►2 garlic cloves
►50g dark brown sugar
►1+1/2 tbsp of worcester sauce
►300ml ketchup
►2 eggs
►200g plain flour
►2 tsp garlic powder
►1+1/2 tsp smoked paprika
►1 tsp black pepper
►1 tsp oregano
►1 tsp hot chilli powder
►Salt & pepper
►Oil for frying
