Pressure cooker chicken pulao | Easy chicken pulao | How to make chicken pulao | Easy chicken rice recipe | Quick dinner recipe

Chicken pulao ingredients:

Marinate the chicken
• 500 gram Chicken
• 2 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
• 1/4 cup curd/yogurt
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp red chili powder
• 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
• 1 tsp coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp cumin powder
• 1/2 tsp garam masala powder

To make chicken pulao
• 2 cups basmati rice
• 2 onions, sliced
• 3 tomatoes, chopped
• 2 Green chilies (optional)
• 2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

Whole spices
• 1-inch cinnamon (Dalchini)
• 2 green cardamom (Elaichi)
• 4 cloves (laung)
• 1 petal mace (javitri)

Preparation:
1. Rinse & soak 2 cups of basmati rice in 4 cups of water. Set it aside for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes drain off the water & keep the rice aside.
2. Marinate the chicken with the ingredients mentioned above. Set it aside.
3. Slice the onions, chop the tomatoes, slit green chilies & finely chop the coriander leaves & set them aside.

Making Chicken Pulao in Pressure Cooker:
1. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat.
2. Add whole spices and sauté it for a minute.
3. Next, add onions and stir fry the onions until golden.
4. Add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes are soft & mushy. (stir continuously)
5. Add the marinated chicken to it.
6. Stir & cook until the color of the chicken changes from pink to white.
7. Add 2 and 1/4 cups of water. Stir it well.
8. Let it come to a boil.
9. Taste & adjust salt & other seasonings.
10. Add green chilies, coriander leaves & rice. Stir it.
11. Close the lid. Cook it for 3 whistles.
12. Chicken pulao is ready.
13. Fluff it up with a fork.
14. Let it be kept open for at least 5 minutes.
15. Now serve the chicken pulao & enjoy.
