Puteni (Steamed spice cake) has always been a recipe I was keen to make. Taking me back to my childhood, I would enjoy a slice of Puteni topped with custard. The rich and sweet taste of the spices is what makes this cake a delightful and an enjoyable dish to make. One bite and it feels like a taste of the South Pacific. Hope you all enjoy!! Malo!

Caramel sauce:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1tsp vanilla extract
Dry ingredient:
4 cups white flour
3 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoon nutmeg
3 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
2 1/2 teaspoon all spice
1 teaspoon salt
Wet ingredient:
1 cup sugar
1 cup soften/melted butter
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 can evaporated milk
*Optional: Add 1 cup of any dried fruit*
Need turkey tray
