Ingredients for Restaurant Style Chicken Gravy:

– Boneless chicken – 400 gm
– Onions, chopped- 2 medium
– Tomatoes – 3 medium
– Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp

Powders:
– Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
– Red Chilli Powder- 1 tbsp
– Coriander powder- 1 tbsp
– Garam Masala Powder- 1/2 tsp
– Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp

-Curd/yogurt – 50ml
– Oil – 4 tbsp
-Kasuri Methi (Fenugreek leaves)
– Salt

Preparation:

– Roughly chop the onions and tomatoes
– Slightly cook/saute the onions and tomatoes (until onions turn translucent and tomatoes skin separate)
– blend them into a smooth paste.

Process:

– Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan
– Add 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste and fry for 2 mins on low heat until the raw smell of the ginger garlic is gone.
-Add the diced chicken pieces and saute in the oil until chicken changes colour slightly.
– Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder,coriander powder, garam masala and cumin powder and mix it well.
– Add required salt.
-Now add the onion tomato paste and cook on medium flame for 5 minutes.
– Add curd/yogurt 50 ml, mix well and cook for another 5-6 mins on medium heat till oil separates.
– Remove the lid and add Kasuri Methi, mix and simmer for around 2 minutes.
– Serve with rice, chapathi, naan, parotta, idli or dosa.
