SAFFRON PEPPER CHICKEN ?

INGREDIENTS:

~For marination:
Chicken – 1/2 kg
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Sour curd – 2 tbsp (add a dash of lemon if your curd is not sour)
Tomato – 1 (grind to make puree)
Crushed cumin/ shahi jeera – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder – 1 1/2tsp
Black pepper powder – 1 tbsp
Saffron – 1/4 tsp
Salt – to taste

~ For gravy
Ghee – 2 tbsp
Cumin – 1/4 tsp
Peppercorns – 1/4 tsp
Cardamom – 2
Cloves – 2
Onions – 1 big
Green chillies – 2
Cashew paste – 1 tbsp
Coriander and mint leaves – a handful

METHOD:

1. Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste and salt for 30 minutes.
2. Again marinate the chicken with the ingredients mentioned above in “marination”.
3. Meanwhile heat a pan, add ghee.
4. Temper with cumin, cardamom, cloves and peppercorns.
5. Add green chillies, onion and saute well.
6. Once the onion is sautéed, add the marianted chicken. Cover and cook till it is done.
7. Add cashew paste, coriander and mint leaves. Mix and off the flame.
