Ingredients for Chicken Biryani:
– Chicken, large pieces with bones- 750 grm
– Basmati Rice- 500 gms
For Cooking Chicken:
– Onions, sliced- 250 gms (around 3 medium sized onions)
– Ginger Garlic paste- 1 tbsp
– Tomatoes, sliced- 2 medium
– Green Chillies, slit- 4 numbers
– Coriander leaves, chopped- 1/2 cup
– Mint leaves – 1/2 cup
– Whisked curd/plain yogurt- 3/4 cup
– Ready made Biryani Masala- 3 tbsp
For Cooking Rice:
– Shahjeera (caraway seeds) – 1/2 tsp
– Green cardamom – 3
– Cloves – 4
– Cinnamon- 2 pieces
– Salt- 1 1/2 tablespoon
– Water to boil the rice- around 1.5 litres
– Mint leaves – around 8 – 12 leaves
