Mix in fresh apples, bananas, pudding and whipped topping for a delicious salad that could even be called a dessert.
Ingredients:
1 C. milk
1-2 Snickers, chopped
1 — 3 oz. pkg. instant vanilla pudding
2 Granny Smith apples, chopped
8 oz. whipped topping
1-2 bananas, sliced

Hi, Kristy in the Rada kitchen, today I’m making a recipe out of our 101 Recipes with Bananas cookbook. It’s a Snickers Salad, and, yes, it does include Snickers candy bars, and it’s really easy to make.
Alright, so you need a 3 ounce package of instant vanilla pudding. To that we’re going to add a cup of milk, and we’re just going to make it like regular pudding. So you just need to stir it for a couple minutes until it thickens. And this is the Rada Handi-stir works really good on puddings and gravies and anything you really need to stir stuff up. Scrambled eggs, it makes great scrambled eggs, fluffy pancakes, homemade pancakes.
I’m going to let the pudding just set and settle. While I cut up the other ingredients you will need one to two bananas. And I kind of like to cut the banana into smaller, kind of bite size pieces. Now this fruit you won’t want to add until just before serving you. If you add it too early, they will discolor. You need two Granny Smith apples now. This is the Rada Heavy Duty Paring. It’s just the perfect size for apples, has that nice little point to it, and when you go to slice and gain I like to cut these pretty well. Dice it so you don’t bite into a big chunk of apple. So you need two of these Granny Smith apples. Then you need one to two snickers. Kids really like this salad, plus it’s a way to get them to eat some fruits. So now our pudding is set and we’re going to add an 8 oz container of whipped topping to it. Just kind of fold that in. This part of the salad you can make an hour or two ahead, but I wouldn’t add the apples or bananas until just before you’re ready to serve it or take it to wherever you’re taking it because bananas will darken, as the apples will too.
So, but I’m ready to serve it, so I’m going to add the apples, bananas, and the cut up Snickers bars. And you just gently fold that in. and you can put a little bit of chocolate on the top for a garnishment. And there’s your Snickers salad. That’s one of the 101 recipes using bananas cookbook.
