Soursop: Harvesting & a Smoothie Recipe! Panama Gardening!

We have a few mature soursop trees (Annona muricata) on our property. The other name is guanabana (I called it something different in the video- ignore me!). I’ll be honest- I had NO IDEA what they were when Papsy first showed them to me! But we quickly learned that they are great to eat right off the vine or mixed into a smoothie. This video will show you how to figure out when they’re ripe and give you a GREAT smoothie recipe! For the recipe in the video, we ended up adding more almond milk the next day to thin it out and WOW!!!! It was SO MUCH BETTER!!! Oh! And how do you know when they are ripe? When they are soft to the touch, kind of like a peach. You press them with your finger and you get a bit of give from the fruit underneath. Then you know it’s ready to cut open and enjoy!
