How to make pepper steak from home
Pepper Steak Recipe
Soak 3 pieces of thin sirloin steak in a bowl of salt water for 30 mins. Scrub and rinse
Slice steak into thin square shape pieces
Place in a bowl
Season with 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of ground ginger, 1 tsp of black pepper and 3 squirts of soy sauce
Mix in well and allow it to sit and marinate for 30 minutes
Meanwhile, chop up 1 onion and 1 green pepper into big square size pieces.
In a bowl…. combine 4 tbs of soy sauce, 4 tbs of oyster sauce, 2 1/2 tbs of brown sugar, 1 tbs of cornstarch and 4 tbs of beef broth AND STIR IN WELL
Place a pan over medium heat.
Add 1/2 cup of broth. Add steak pieces and cook until meat is tender
Remove steak and clean pan out
Place pan back over medium heat. Add 3 tbs of olive oil, your chopped up onions and green peppers, 2 tsp of minced garlic and 1/4 cup of drained tomatoes
Fry for 5 minutes then add steak to pan’
Fry for another 5-10 minutes or until brown
Once meat and vegetables brown add the sauce mixture
Once the sauce thickens to your desired thickness cut the fire off
Serve with rice
