Hope you’re having a fantastic Thursday so far.
In a day, I will generally have 1-2 smoothies and 2 “plated meals.” I have found this makes me feel my best, as it gives me the most energy and doesn’t leave me feeling too full or bloated.
Every individual is different, but I like to feel light and not have much in my stomach during training.
The smoothie gives me energy and doesn’t sit in my stomach for too long because essentially it is already “predigested” because the blender broke it down for me.
Sometimes I will also have a smoothie in between trainings if I don’t have time to split up two of my trainings by a couple of hours.
This smoothie gives me the calories and nutrients that I need to perform for the next session without being too full or tired.
Let’s talk about what goes inside:
1. 8–12 oz of unsweetened almond milk
2. 2 TBSP strawberries
3. 2 TBSP Blueberries
4. 1 tsp Chia Seeds
5. 1 tsp Flax Seeds
6. 1 tsp Spirulina
7. 1 tsp Maca Powder
8. 1 Scoop Sunwarrior Chocolate Vegan Protein.
9. 1-2 handfuls Spinach
10. 1 tsp Ashwaganda Root
11. Dash of Cinnamon
12. 3-5 Cubes of Ice
Why Vegan Protein? Simple, when I take whey, drink or eat any dairy, it hurts my stomach. That’s a signal from my body that it’s not for me, so I stay away.
