Welcome back to I PINK IT!
I’ve been getting so much love from all of you in the Philippines that I was crushed I couldn’t visit the country this year. However, I asked my friend Mar for her help on this video, so I can recreate some of her favorite Filipino desserts at home. You might remember her from our previous video together where we compared similar Tagalog and Spanish words!
However, for this video since I have food allergies to wheat, eggs, and soy, I adjusted these vegan Filipino dessert recipes to ensure they will be top 8 allergy free recipes. In this video I am sharing how to make:
-Vegan Leche Flan
-Vegan Filipino Puto
-Vegan Filipino Banana Cue
All these are easy dessert recipes no bake required and I tried my best to make them filipino style. Let me know how I did and if you will be trying the puto or banana cue. I have to admit I was not really happy with the consistency of the leche flan, but for a topping on top of fruits or ice cream I will take it! Specially, cause we also have flan in El Salvador and it looks literally the same as in the Philippines! I really hope you enjoy this easy recipes and my vegan Filipino desserts reaction when trying them!
Let me share with you the ingredients I used to make each recipe:
For the leche flan (dip sauce haha) these are the ingredients I used:
-1 can of sweet condensed coconut milk (11.6 oz)
-11.6 oz of plant based milk
-1 tsp of corn starch
– 1 cup of brown sugar
For the gluten free vegan Filipino puto these are the ingredients you will need:
-1 3/4 cups of rice flour
– 1 cup of sugar
– 2 tbs of baking powder
– 1 1/2 of water
– 1/4 cup of plant based milk
– 1/3 of apple sauce
– 1/4 tsp of salt
For the banana cue these are the ingredients you will need:
– 2 bananas
– 6 tsp of sugar
– 2 tsp of coconut oil
If you are looking for easy dessert recipes, I really hope you enjoy making these recipes at home.
Love,
Ingrid
