Rediscover homemade pudding’s simplicity: simple and fresh ingredients and a little mixing and you’re done! This easy, rich and creamy pastry cream can be used in a thousand ways in your dessert recipes or you can just eat it as is… just add your preferred sliced fruits to have a fruit dessert. So yummy and tasty that you’ll never buy again a ready to eat pudding…
This recipe makes about 4 servings (barely 1 serving if you have a sweet tooth!!!)
INGREDIENTS
4 eggs yolks
3/4 cup plus 2 tbs sugar
1/3 cup flour
2 cups whole milk
1/2 tsp natural vanilla extract
1/3 cup chocolate chips
Some fruit for decorating
STEPS
1 – Beat the egg yolks and the sugar with an electric beater or a wire whisk, then add the flour. Pour in a saucepan the whole milk, the vanilla extract and add the eggs mixture. Turn the heat on low and stir constantly with a wire whisk until thickened.
2 – Take the pan off the heat and pour the custard sauce in two different bowls. Just in a bowl add the chocolate chips and mix. Start filling a serving bowl, making your own decorations with fresh fruits.
