The internet is banding together to plant 20 million trees by the end of the year, and if you want to help out, all you have to do is visit https://teamtrees.org/ where you can plant a tree for just 1$. Thanks Mr. Beast et al. for the great initiative, we’ll be donating all the ad revenue from this video.
We all know that 20 million trees won’t immediately fix the climate emergency but how many trees would humanity actually need to plant in order to cancel out our global carbon emissions? And how large would that forest be? While #teamtrees is great way to send a signal to policymakers that a healthy biosphere matters to a lot of people, we look into what would happen if everyone got into a habit of planting a tree on their birthday.

What If is a mini-documentary web series that takes you on an epic journey through hypothetical worlds and possibilities. Join us on an imaginary adventure — grounded in scientific theory — through time, space and chance, as we ask what if some of the most fundamental aspects of our existence were different.
